Maillefer took part in the 1st Cable Congress that took place in Moscow on 21 - 22 March, 2017 under the 16th International Exhibition Cabex 2017. The Cable Congress was organized by the Scientific Research and Development Cable Institute (VNIIKP) and Elektrocable Association.
The event brought together over 400 delegates from the cable and power industries, telecommunications, electrical engineering, mining, and oil & gas business. Not only from Russia but also from over 10 other countries.
Cable Congress is the first exclusive business event in Russia which consolidates cable and wire producers, machinery manufacturers and end-users. It gave a unique opportunity to share best practices, business insight, innovation and wide international experience in the power industry.
On the second day of the congress Ramiro Rodrigues, our Product Manager for copper telecom and data cable solutions and Alexander Chamov, Head of Maillefer Moscow Office gave a presentation on “Fluoropolymer Processing and Machinery Features”. The presentation included plenum cables which are crucial in preventing
fire propagation in buildings, telecommunication cable standards which must be fire resistant, and the influence of used materials and cable constructions. In addition to our solutions for processing fluoropolymers including extrusion lines, special screw barrel types and tools were presented. Special attention was given to our know-how in aviation cable production technology.
Participating in the Cable Congress gave us the opportunity to demonstrate the competence that counts in innovations and global technology leadership in the Wire & Cable industry.
