COVID-19 - Stay Safe and Keep Healthy

Written by Lars Fagerholm | Apr 2, 2020 4:00:00 AM

The evolving global health crisis, which we all face, has temporarily changed Maillefer’s way of serving wire, cable, pipe and tube manufacturers worldwide. Our operations are adapted daily according to the situation as it develops, in order to serve customers in the best possible way.

COVID-19 Stay Safe and Keep Healthy

Dear customers and partners,

The multiple restrictions due to the pandemic impact our daily lives, specifically our face-to-face contacts with you, and all business travel. Maillefer is constantly adjusting to the situation in order to provide you with the best possible service.

Maillefer adapts

Our Maillefer experts and Services support continue to be fully accessible and ready to serve. For many of our people this means flexibility in the workplace, and with work hours. Most colleagues interact from home, a limited number work at our facilities under the strict health and safety measures in vigor, and others do both depending on the task at hand.

Our management, sales, product and service teams are there to assist you. They are joined by agents and representatives covering your region. You will find all their details on our Contact page of our website.

The direct phone lines and telephone switchboards are open. Allow time for your call to be redirected, as your Maillefer contact may not be at his/her usual workplace.

At moments like these, we will privilege modern communication methods. Internet and e-mails are preferred. We strongly encourage maintaining a regular business exchange and engaging in productive online meetings. Our facilities and people are equipped for Zoom videoconferencing.

The Services team provides remote access connections for technical assistance at a safe distance. Please reach out to us to learn more about the many ways we provide support, for you and your business, not just during this health crisis but also into the future.

Progressing with restrictions

On site, Maillefer operations continue with the help of a core team of employees. Essential resources are organized in our factories as needed and wherever necessary. All new equipment projects are progressing as planned in our engineering and manufacturing functions. Operations like purchasing, receiving, assembly, tests, packing, export, and shipping (to name a few) continue, thanks to the dedicated staff who is responding to the exceptional conditions.

We are experiencing some tensions along the supply chain. The regular contacts we have with our suppliers and logistics partners help minimize disturbances. Our project managers keep updated so as to inform you as soon as possible should any impact on project planning arise.

Current project installation and commissioning activities are being affected because of travel limitations. Our local technicians in our global Maillefer network continue to support line commissions. Affected projects will promptly be rescheduled as soon as governments lift bans due to the COVID-19.

Stay safe and keep healthy

Your company’s personnel as well as ours are our principal assets. Securing our mutual health and safety is the only way to ensure future success. Exercise caution, responsible behavior and solidarity during these moments. The world of extrusion is an indefinitely exciting, evolving, and highly motivating one. Let's continue to be strong, together. Stay safe and keep healthy.

We are eager to see you all again soon, in person. Until then, talk to us, write us an e-mail, or setup a videoconference meeting with us. We’ll be extremely pleased and reassured to hear from you.
