Since fast technological evolution as well as obsolescence is affecting the main IT component of the Process Supervisor Unit (PSU), we have to inform you that the industrial PSU computer hardware is no longer manufactured. Repair and standard exchange of the computer hardware is also no longer possible.
Maillefer has selected a new PSU computer hardware, in use in today's manufactured line controls. This computer is adapted to run your PSU application version 5 as well as version 3 with minor adaptations. PSU application version 4 (under Win NT) will be upgraded to version 5. This is the latest compatible version with your line control. up to date industrial computer hardware, secure your production and minimize hardware failure risks
Industrial computer hardware is delivered with it’s accessories (mouse, keyboard) and mechanical adaptation kit if required.
Your PSU application will be preloaded as part of the system set-up and tested prior delivery.
Upgrade of the PSU application from previous version 4 to 5 is mandatory, and will be included in the package.
Optional upgrade to the latest PSU version 6 is available. It will require the adaptation of the line PLCs communication interfaces.
As repairs and parts replacement for the PSU computer are no longer available we strongly recommend you to consider the preventive replacement hardware. The standard delivery time can reach 12 weeks. In some cases it is 3 weeks for a hardware upgrade, and 6 weeks for hardware & PSU 5 upgrade. Maillefer Services will assist you in planning the upgrade of your PSU system.
