ECH 10/18 3L for Triple-layer Medical Tube

The ECH 10/18 3L is a versatile multilayer crosshead for the production of medical tubes. This head is destined for a three-layer configuration, but it has the flexibility for a two and even a single layer setup. With the trend to use alternative materials to PVC, the distributor and tooling are designed for soft PVC as well as EVA, TPE, PE & TPU. Depending on the polymers to be employed, the composition of the steel alloy is specified to the required corrosion resistance.

The Maillefer concept fixes the crosshead on a floor mount, thus allowing extruder mobility in compensation for any thermal expansion. The extruder connections are delivered with pressure & temperature gauges.
