120-ton Pay-off / Take-up
The pay-off/take-up family now includes a 120-ton heavyweight. The new FPO/ FTU 120 offers higher winding capacity for EHV power cable manufacturing lines. It is designed to make the most of larger and heavier reels.
These machines are floor traversing machines of portal design. The vertical stands are independent. The reel width can reach up to 12 meters, ideal for road transportation.
Carrier arms rotate the reels. Rotation is either torque controlled with compensation or speed controlled via a dancer, accumulator or external reference. There is an independent operator panel on the FPO/FTU. Additional control features such as machine status, settings and alarms are available from the centralized line control.
