This crosshead is built for the production of dual-layer blown fiber microducts. Ideal for tubes with a special inner layer which favors longer jetting distances and reduced friction.


ECH Crosshead for Microduct

This crosshead is specially designed for the production of dual-layer blown fiber microducts. Typical tube constructions consist of a thin inner layer reserved for a PE/Silicone mix that favors longer jetting distances and reduced fiber friction, while the outer layer provides a protective PE exterior. The striping feature is available as an option.

 

The head is mounted directly on a mobile arm keeps floor space clear and offers easy handling during the cleaning or tool change operations. An ergonomic trolley is also available. The extruder connections are delivered with pressure & temperature gauges.
