The PreFilter collects and lessens the buildup of residue in the nitrogen gas circulation loop. It is essential in power cable manufacturing. The PreFilter is composed of a container body with multilayer chambers, a cooling unit, pipework, instrumentation and valves.
The assembly is highly effective for by-product collection. A sequencecontrolled valve releases the liquid waste into a collection tank. The unit can be disconnected for cleaning. The PreFilter is a pressure vessel. It is calculated and rated accordingly.
Cable surface quality is maintained with a PreFilter in place. Cleansed cooling gas optimizes heat exchange throughout. Unwanted defects in cable geometry are thus avoided.
